Koshi Inaba News

Now that B’z have wrapped up their massive 25th anniversary year and recently released its epic home video to tap things off, the team are taking a break for a few months to concentrate on solo efforts before they reconvene for B’z activities.

Today, Koshi has launched a brand new solo website and with it comes some exciting news. Unexpectedly, Koshi is not only launching his own website today but is also releasing a BRAND NEW DIGITAL SINGLE, available right now on a variety of Japanese music outlets! The song is entitled “Nensho” (We will post information on purchasing it for yourself shortly, should you wish to obtain it for your collection.)

Along with the new single comes news of Koshi’s plans for 2014. While more releases are expected, it has also been officially announced that Koshi Inaba LIVE 2014 ~en-ball~ will take place over ten dates beginning June 5 and ending June 20. Interestingly, every show will take place at just one venue, the Shinagawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo. Further live dates may be forthcoming; we’ll keep you posted as to any further announcements.

Additionally, those that wish to sample Koshi’s past solo work are now in luck, as all of his music videos are now available in full on the official B’z YouTube channel. Check out the full playlist right here!

The newest song by B’z, entitled “Q&A“, has started airing as the new opening to the anime series Detective Conan as of May 4th. “Q&A” is set to be released as part of B’z The Best XXV 1999-2012 — one of the two best-of compilations B’z is going to release on June 12th of this year. In addition to the song premiering on the anime series, B’z has also published a 90 second excerpt from their newest effort’s music video. (Be warned: It features a samurai warrior fighting multiple fierce ninjas. Brace yourselves!)

In addition, we also have the lyrics thus far, along with their accompanying translation, available on the B’z Wiki. For your viewing pleasure, we have taken the time to subtitle aforementioned music video made available by the band on their YouTube channel. We are just little over a week away from the release of B’z 50th single GO FOR IT BABY -kioku no sanmyaku- and the music video for said single has been posted on the band’s official YouTube channel today. I have uploaded the video for your convenience – especially if you are from a region where you cannot view it (e.g. Germany). Feel free to leave your opinion on the music video in the comments!

Moreover, additional details regarding the Pepsi NEX special campaign have been unveiled. As you know, with the purchase of B’z new single you get the chance to win one out of two thousand B’z x Pepsi NEX special T-Shirts! All you have to do is send in the postcard that comes with the single. Now the designs of these T-Shirts have been revealed.

When you receive your postcard with the single, you can choose whether you’d like type A or type B in case you are one of the few lucky winners. You’ll also have to choose your T-Shirt size (M or L only).

Deadline for submission is April 30th, 2012.

Tak Matsumoto News

I’m not sure everyone has noticed, but when Carlton and Matsumoto make their way to the stage, there’s a person behind them holding a camera in his hand. He is probably recording the whole thing. Just take a look at this picture here:

Now… the video filmed by this guy has surfaced on YouTube. It’s now even on Larry Carlton’s official channel, so I guess it is not a problem to post it here. What you can see is, well, Tak Matsumoto’s wife in the kimono Kahori Yamagata designed (see my other post). Just see for yourself:

Now this is news, right? Apparently Tak Matsumoto is already busy shooting a new PV, but the question is: with or without Koshi Inaba?  The source states that Tak Matsumoto – who is a passionate golfer by all means – was supposed to attend a party hosted by PGA Japan’s Tatsuya Miura. However, he was not able to make it and instead sent a greeting card in which he wrote that he’s sorry he couldn’t attend the party and some kind of (golf) contest. Matsumoto further writes that he couldn’t attend because the shooting of his PV has not been finished yet, but he sends his best wishes.

As for Koshi Inaba, it could be possible that he was on the set as well since the blog posting dates to October 10th, but the actual event was the day before. So Koshi Inaba should have been able to sqeeze it into his calendar despite his tight schedule due to his ongoing tour ~en II~. I guess we will know more once Koshi’s tour is over.
