B’z Score 48th Consecutive #1 Single with “RED”!

With its first week on sale drawing to a close, it has been confirmed that “RED” has become the latest B’z single to debut at the top of the Weekly Oricon Singles charts in Japan. The single sold over 157,000 copies in its first week.
This extends their record of consecutive number one singles to 48 in a row, dating all the way back to the release of their first chart-topper, “Taiyou no Komachi Angel”, in June of 1990. The band’s nationwide tour titled B’z LIVE-GYM 2015 -EPIC NIGHT- is currently underway.

Feature B’z 52nd single 「RED」 is officially out today, and has already sold 71,001 copies pre-release day, topping the Oricon daily chart. As usual, Tak and Koshi turn to their fans and released a message celebrating the release of their new CD. We have translated it for you — as always! “RED” Short Version MV On Air & Promotion Start in Hiroshima

With under one week until the release of 「RED」, music channels have started airing the short version of the music video, which basically is the first half of the song. Furthermore, promotion for the new single has started in the streets of Hiroshima. Trams are decorated with posters advertising the new single.

“RED” Commercial On Air & SKY PerfecTV! Baseball Commercials
News As the release of the band’s 52nd single titled 「RED」 is forthcoming, TV commercials have started airing throughout Japan. You can check it out below!
Furthermore, the band has announced today, that 「RED」 will be featured in SKY PerfecTV!’s Baseball TV commercials. Three versions were produced for broadcasting: A 30 second one that is broadcasted nationwide, a 30 second one that is broadcasted only in Hiroshima, and a Hiroshima-exclusive 60 second version. All three of them feature Hiroshima Toyo Carp’s pitcher Hiroki Kuroda, for whom the song has been produced. You can check out the 60 second version below!
“RED” Pre-Order Information & Music Video Preview Subtitled

The fifty-second single from B’z, 「RED」, will be released on June 10th, 2015 in three editions. The regular single edition will contain only the CD, while the CD & DVD edition will come with the single and a special DVD containing the title song’s dedicated music video which features footage from B’z LIVE-GYM 2015 -EPIC NIGHT-. Lastly, for the first time, the band are also releasing a special edition that contains the CD single and a red and white themed wristband. You can now pre-order the single in any of its editions from the retailers listed below:
