B’z Among 1000 Origami Cranes
On April 5, Fukie Bata was invited as a guest during the program that was broadcasted on radio France Bleu Poitou. Yes, that’s right, France. She is a Japanese citizen that moved to France in 2007 and they talked about how she came to France, and what experiences she has made. Furthermore, in the recent events of the March 11 East Japan Earthquake, they talked about her initiative to create 1000 origami cranes in order to show solidarity for the people in Japan.
“But… what does B’z have to do with it?!” you ask? Well… they also used the occasion to introduce Japan to the listeners and Fukie Bata was so kind to choose B’z as an example for Japanese Music. She especially chose BUDDY from the album ACTION, which was then broadcasted on the show. Hopefully, a few more people in France have become B’z fans now! B’z is mostly unknown in France, with Visual Kei being the reigning Japanese music genre.
Merci beaucoup to my friend Odon Vallon for his report on B’z no bise. You can listen to the radio show here using the Real Player.
Also, glad to know my French skills haven’t gotten rusty in all these years. 😉

New Song “Homebound” As News 23X Ending Theme
B’z Official Website states that starting today, B’z new song “Homebound” will be the ending theme to the news show “News 23X” which airs from 22:54 to 23:45 from Monday to Thursday and 23:30 to 24:15 on Fridays on the channel TBS.
We recall that Koshi Inaba’s “Kono Te wo Totte Hashiridashite” was the ending theme to “News 23X” before, and thus, we can assume that “Homebound” is a ballad. I’m going to watch “NEWS 23X” today and will report back later.
The release date for “Homebound” and further details will be announced at a later date.
Update: Video here. Sorry for the bad video quality, I was watching it with KeyHole TV .
Update 2: Found better quality video on youtube. Now you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms in Tokyo – Shinjuku ;D
B’z At Music Station 3-Hour Special
First of all, throughout the show, they presented the best 120 songs that cheer you up. The audience voted Negai 107th and ultra soul 5th place. This time every artist performed two songs. B’z performed their new single “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” and “Brotherhood”. Brotherhood is intended to cheer up the people that have been affected by the earthquake. As such Koshi changed one line: He sang “dare mo ga mainichi kutakuta ni natteru”(Everybody’s getting exhausted every day) instead of “kocchi datte mainichi kutakuta ni natteru”(“I’m getting exhausted every day”).
As for “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” lyrics, check out the B’z Wiki: http://bzwiki.offthelock.com/Sayonara_Kizu_Darake_no_Hibi_yo_(Lyrics)
Oh and here’s a little trivia for you B’z fans: Because of this song(Brotherhood), B’z fans call each other “B’z brother” in Japan.
Update: Put the Youtube video back there… if you like the song, buy the single.

B’z To Perform On Music Station Special 4/1
Looks like B’z is doing an ALL-OUT ATTACK this year. B’z Official Website states that B’z is going to perform during the broadcast of the 3-hour Music Station special which is set to air on April 1st, 2010 from 7PM to 9:48PM. It is unknown what song B’z is going to perform, but it is highly likely that B’z is going to perform their new single “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” to make up for the postponed release date of said single.
This is the first time in 4 years that B’z is appearing on television. Last time B’z appeared on television, they were performing SUPER LOVE SONG on the Music Station SUPER LIVE 2007 as well as Best Artist 2007.
“Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” On Air
Starting today, B’z new song “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” will be broadcasted by radio stations throughout Japan. People in Japan can also download the chaku-uta version of the song to use it as a ringtone for their mobile phone. The single is going to be released on March 30th, 2011.
Details About Pepsi Nex CM
There are a few facts that have been left out in the previous post. It is actually B’z first appearance on a TV commercial. They will perform their song “Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo” throughout the commercial which is shot in the wilderness. The two will be accompanied by model Leyna Kagami. (actually her name is “Reina” not “Leyna”, but Japanese can choose their English names…)
Now that Pepsi’s site has also been updated, you can watch the making of the commercial there. You will be able to hear more parts of the song – with singing, too. I have it right here for your convenience:
