The rotating stage can finally be seen on DVD.
Please enjoy the atmosphere and presence on the center stage.

B’z LIVE-GYM 2008 -ACTION- DVD & Blu-ray Release Message
B’z LIVE-GYM 2008 “ACTION” is out now on DVD and Blu-ray! Tak and Koshi have released a message for their fans concerning the long awaited home video release of this LIVE-GYM tour. Among pre-orders of upcoming releases, this home video release was ranked 2nd with only NEWS’ home video release of their “LIVE TOUR 2012~Utsukushii Koi ni suru yo~” tour gathering more pre-orders. Now, without further ado, here’s the message from Tak and Koshi!
Action Daimaou(Devil)!
Tak
–NOTE: This is actually a joke by Tak. He is referencing an anime show from the 70s called “Hakushon Daimaou”(link). Japanese people pronounce ACTION as “akushon” which almost sounds like “hakushon”.
When I rewatch the footage of our Action Tour now, my body is getting exhausted once again. Please enjoy watching a Live-Gym soaked with sweat!

“B’z (English Album)” Retrospective
With this being the 25th anniversary year for B’z, we have decided to run a series of retrospectives throughout the year celebrating the band’s achievements and accomplishments. Essentially, we will be providing extensive write-ups on certain B’z albums, singles, tours, and related subjects on a regular basis for the entire year. All articles pertaining to this feature will also be simultaneously archived in the B’z Wiki for posterity.
Today, we’re looking back into the very near past for an in-depth look at the recent English album B’z, with as much information as you could possibly want on the recent English songs!
Should you prefer to read this article in Wiki form, you can do so right here!
B’z (English Album)
B’z is the self-titled debut English album by B’z, released worldwide via iTunes on July 25, 2012. The five-track album contains new English reversions of a selection of popular B’z singles released between 1998 and 2006. The newly-written English lyrics were a collaboration between Koshi and longtime drummer of the band, Shane Gaalaas. Along with Cory Churko, Shane was entrusted with mixing of the album due to the band’s trust in his familiarity with the B’z sound and vision.
“Love Bomb”, an English version of 2005 B’z single “Ai no Bakudan”, served as the opening track to the album as well as the theme to a summer campaign for Pepsi NEX in Japan. Months before, the closing track “Into Free -Dangan-” was made the global theme to the Capcom video game Dragon’s Dogma and was released as a digital single on April 3, 2012.
The release was supported by B’z LIVE-GYM 2012 -Into Free-, a seven date tour of both coasts of the United States and Canada in the fall of 2012. All songs were performed on the tour, with “Splash”, “Juice”, and “Into Free -Dangan-” having debuted in the setlist to the previous year’s tour, B’z LIVE-GYM 2011 -long time no see-.

B’z To Release Three LIVE-GYM Home Videos Next Year!
The first news of the B’z 25th anniversary year is here, and… it’s BIG! In typical B’z fashion, the celebration is being kicked off in a huge way! Beginning January 30th, the band will be releasing not one, not two, but THREE previously unreleased LIVE-GYMs on home video in the span of only three months!
The news came down on B’z PARTY (the official B’z fanclub in Japan) this morning and you won’t have to wait long! For the first time ever,B’z LIVE-GYM 2008 “ACTION” will be seeing its home video debut, while—finally—we will be able to see the full shows of LIVE-GYM 2005 “CIRCLE OF ROCK” and LIVE-GYM 2001 “ELEVEN” (previously highlighted on compilation discs released over the years). ACTION will be coming in January, with the other two to follow in February and March respectively.
What is perhaps most noteworthy about these releases is the fact that so many of the songs being released are coming to home video in live form for the very first time. The 2008 single “BURN -Fumetsu no Face-” will make its live debut on the ACTION release, along with album songs “Junjou ACTION” and “Perfect Life”, plus prized B-side “New Message” (among many others). The 2008 tour was especially exciting for fans for—at the time—offering one of the best balanced setlists the band had put together and should be a fantastic watch when it hits DVD & Blu-ray on January 30th.

March 27, 2013 — B’z LIVE-GYM 2001 “ELEVEN” on DVD

LIVE-GYM 2012 -Into Free- EXTRA Kicks Off at Budokan
Tak and Koshi kicked off their EXTRA leg of their LIVE-GYM 2012 -Into Free- tour at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo last night. The band opened with Love Bomb just like during their North American tour. In addition to the songs played during the North American tour, they also performed HEAT and Itoshii Hito yo Good Night…
The B’z version of HEAT seems to come off much brighter and — given Koshi’s stronger voice — seems a lot more melodic. It’s a shame that B’z did not play their own version of HEAT during the North American tour. It seems that it’s fan service for their Japanese fans.
Check out the full set list below. The songs highlighted in bold are the ones that have been added to the set list compared to the set list of the North American tour. The next show will be at the Nippon Gaishi Hall tomorrow.
