B’z New Album C’mon 7/27 Out & LIVE-GYM 2011 Members

Posted on June 13, 2011
News

Word was out early this time, as we already knew that B’z new album was called “C’mon” and would be out in July, so we were just waiting for B’z Official Website to get updated today! I proudly present B’z new album 「C’mon」! It’ll be out July 27th, and feature 13 tracks with Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo, Homebound, Don’t Wanna Lie and ultra soul 2011 among them. I’m hugely disappointed by the limited edition: The CD+DVD version will come with the music videos of Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo, Don’t Wanna Lie and the new track C’mon.

In other words, all the people who bought the CD+DVD version of B’z past two singles, will have nothing but the music video of C’mon as an extra. Who came up with such a crappy idea?
Limited as well as regular editions will include a card with which you can enter a lottery to win tickets for a special B’z live in September. (see below)

B’z new song C’mon, which is also the title of the new album, will be the new PEPSI NEX commercial song starting from July. B’z will likely also be featured in the commercial. In addition to that, PEPSI NEX’ summer campaign gives you the chance to win 2 tickets for a special B’z performance called “PEPSI NEX presents B’z 1DAY LIVE” at Shibuya AX on September 28th.

On to other news: the support members for the North American, as well as the Japanese tour have been announced! Also, the Japanese tour is called B’z LIVE-GYM 2011 -C’mon-.

B’z LIVE-GYM 2011 in North America

Posted on April 18, 2011
News

B’z is going to tour North America again, for the first time in 8 years. This is probably happening due to Tak Matsumoto winning the Grammy for “Best Pop Instrumental Album” together with guitarist Larry Carlton for their collaborative album TAKE YOUR PICK.  Tickets are going to be on sale locally, so you probably won’t be able to buy them online. B’z will tour Vancouver (Canada) on July 20th, San Francisco on July 22nd and Los Angeles on July 24th. The exact venues have yet to be announced.

The tour at a glance:

7/20 Vogue Theatre – Vancouver, Canada
Open: 7 PM Start: 8 PM
(Tickets: http://www.voguetheatre.com/AVAILABLE MAY 14 10AM)

7/22 The Fillmore – San Francisco, CA
Open: 8 PM Start: 9 PM
(Tickets: http://www.livenation.com/AVAILABLE MAY 15)

7/24 Club Nokia – Los Angeles, CA
Open: 6 PM Start: 7 PM
(Tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.com/AVAILABLE MAY 14, 10AM PDT)

Update: Word is out that there might be a livestream for the North American tour so that Japanese fans will be able to watch it as well. That means it could be livestreamed on Ustream or on NicoNico Live. Also, tickets are not available to Japanese fans through B’z Party, however they can buy a “travel package”(with ticket) to the LA performance.

When is B’z finally coming to Europe?!

Oh and here’s a snippet from the Japanese newspaper that revealed the information:

B’z Releasing Remastered Live-Recordings

Posted on November 1, 2010
News

B’z today announced that they will release remastered versions of B’z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2008 -GLORY DAYS-, LIVE-GYM 2006 MONSTER’S GARAGE as well as  “B’z LIVE in Nanba” coupled with B’z SHOWCASE 2007 -19- on Blu-ray.

Each of these three releases will cost you a whopping 6300 Yen. Interestingly enough, only the performance itself has been remastered. For example, the documentary DVD that ships with MONSTER’S GARAGE is only available on DVD, not Blu-ray. All 3 sets will be released on December 22nd.

If you don’t own the live video already or are an HD freak, I’d recommend getting it. As for myself, I’m going to sit this one out as I do not support this kind of move. I want them to release unreleased performances instead.

Does that now mean we won’t get a new B’z single this year? Perhaps. But we’ve seen crazy things happen before, so I am still getting my hopes up. Stay tuned!

News

B’z latest release “B’z LIVE-GYM 2010 “Ain’t No Magic” at TOKYO DOME” on DVD and Blu-Ray has already topped the Oricon chart, and a massive advertising campaign has been launched.

This morning, two coloured pages featured B’z ads in the Asahi Shinbun (one of Japan’s most renown newspapers), promoting this new release. Also, busses with ads on it could be seen on the streets.

B'z SHOP-GYM corner Until August 1st, Tower Records music shops are hosting a corner called “B’z SHOP-GYM”. Both DVD and Blu-Ray are offered with a 15% discount, and you can get a special commemorating seal (in 2 different colours, red and blue) and mini-uchiwas with tour’s logo on it.
In some shops you can also see a scale model of the “flying stage” used during dome tour dates.
