EPIC DAY Release Message
B’z 19th studio album 「EPIC DAY」 is finally out and, as usual, Tak and Koshi have posted a message commemorating the release.
B’z SHOWCASE 2015 -Shimonoseki Uchouten NIGHT- Announced!
This morning an ad for a SHOWCASE show has been posted in a local newspaper in Yamaguchi prefecture. The SHOWCASE is held in Shimonoseki at the Shimonoseki Shimin Kaikan on March 9th, just two days prior to the LIVE-GYM kicking off.
SHOWCASE shows always serve as a warm-up gig for the upcoming tour and an occasion to play in a more remote location. To give local fans the chance to go to these shows, they are announced in local newspapers only. Also, for the first time, people calling from outside the prefecture are blocked automatically to prevent them from booking tickets.
Gibson Custom To Release TAK MATSUMOTO FIREBIRD
Gibson Custom has announced that it will be releasing Tak Matsumoto’s latest signature guitar, the Gibson Firebird. The guitar will go on sale in Japan in the middle of March to early April and will have a suggested retail price of 698,000 Yen. But don’t let that scare you. Retailers such as Ikebe Gakki have already started listing the guitar for about 490,000 Yen, which is significantly less than the suggested retail price. The guitar will come in two flavors: Vintage Sunburst and Trans Black Burst.

B’z Interview & Cover of WHAT’S IN? March 2015 Issue
For the first time in 10 years, B’z is on the front cover of an issue of the WHAT’S IN? magazine. This particular issue features a special interview with B’z which will detail all the tracks on their new upcoming album「EPIC DAY」, including 「Endless Summer」, which is the B-side to the recently released single「Uchouten」. The magazine is out on February 14th. I have already ordered my issue and will hopefully be able to provide all the information on the album over the weekend. Stay tuned!
By the way, the last time B’z was on the cover was in 2005! Here are both covers:
