B’z LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2018 -HINOTORI- has been progressing well, with B’z holding two performances this weekend in Yokohama at Nissan Stadium.
Several notable additions and changes have been made to the live performances this week.
The full setlist for today’s performance along with changes to the setlist is posted below, to avoid spoilers for those attending the shows, along with tallies on when each song was last played live.
The following changes have been made:
- On both dates of the Nissan Stadium concert, during the “LOVE PHANTOM” segment, Koshi re-enacts the legendary death-defying leap, known as the Phantom Dive, first introduced in 1995’s “BUZZ!!” Pleasure tour and reappeared briefly again in the finale of 2003’s The Final Pleasure.
- Popular single “ALONE” was re-introduced on both dates of Nissan Stadium, with Koshi playing the piano similar to that of “BUZZ!!” in 1995, preceded by Tak’s solo of “When You Wish Upon a Star“.
- The rap portion of “ZERO” featured Ryuichi Kosugi from Japanese comedy duo BLACK MAYONNAISE on vocals, dressed as a security guard, similar to B’z LIVE-GYM 2002 “GREEN ~GO★FIGHT★WIN~”.
- The call and response segment of “juice” reverted back to a medley of “NATIVE DANCE” and “Taiyou no Komachi Angel” for both dates of Nissan Stadium, compared to the medley of “NATIVE DANCE” and “RED” briefly featured on both dates of Hiroshima Green Arena.
- Finally, another notable change was made for the encore performance of “Brotherhood“, where the band moved to a smaller stage to play before moving back to the main stage to finish the remaining songs on the setlist.
